Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
Harriet Tubman
There's so much going on with Rice Rafferty accessories right now. Two years ago this was all a dream. A dream is a great place to begin and spending all of your free time working diligently on that dream can only help you get there. We're finishing up the custom tutu order for our customer in the UK, working on sample details for the custom bridal veil order, prepping items for the bridal fashion photo shoot this weekend (so excited to see everyone again!), teaching a paper making class next weekend, and working on our new line for the fashion show in April. Busy busy, but I love it!

Templeton Landing is Divine
Recently I went to Shanghai Red's Restaurant, but sadly Shanghai is no longer in Buffalo, NY. The good news is it's now Templeton Landing http://templetonlanding.com/. It was their opening night and the place is gorgeous. Templeton Landing offers contemporary American cuisine. We were greeted by Specialty Restaurants Corp. director of training, William Tallichet. They offer everything from seafood dishes and salads to ribs, and steaks. The same water fountain and fireplace are outside to greet you. The color scheme is blue - makes you feel like you're far away on a cruise ship. I ordered the crab cake appetizer and Veal Oskar as the entree. It was delicous! Each plate is a piece of art created by Executive Chef Norman Nichols, formerly executive chef of Seneca Niagara Casino, Harrah's Entertainment and Carnival Cruise Lines. From the window, I looked onto the large patio next to the water. There were at least eight fire pits! Templeton Landing is the only place I can think of in downtown Buffalo with fire pits! There's something so calming and beautiful about fire by the waterfront. They built a brand new bar too - very large! This is the hang out of the summer. Go grab a cocktail and appetizer after work, sit back and relax, enjoy the sunset over the water! Happy Dining!

Elmwood Ave Trends
The fashion show Friday night was amazing. All of the models really shined in their Elmwood Clothing Trends. There were twice as many people as last year, so the popularity has really picked up. Janet Snyder even made an appearance. Now lets talk clothes...my favorite trends were the glamorous dresses depicted above. The gray dress on the left has a classic look with a modern twist because of the unique way the dress is bunched on the bottom. I believe these dresses were from Half & Half on Elmwood Ave in Buffalo, NY. There was an array of clothing this year from super glam to punker rock styles. Everyone at the show shined and they got our imaginations going on how to be creative with accessories this winter. Don't Forget: Shop Local.
