We recently purchased this '80s wedding gown from Goodwill. We wanted to dismantle the dress and up cycle the pieces into necklaces, hair adornments, garters, etc. Before we started our own version of "trash the dress" we decided to take a photo of the dress. It's funny how quickly wedding industry trends change. In the '80s and '90s the more beads, sequins, and poofs the better. The dress was actually pretty heavy too. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 20 lbs or more. Today, I feel simplicity is key. Let your own natural beauty shine instead of adding lace on lace on every part of you. We'll post more pics soon!
WARNING! If you decided to trash the dress do not go in the water. In the news there was a woman who did this recently and she died, so please be careful!-->
